The Photos below vividly illustrate Afghan Women in western Dress and in the professions such as Nursing. The book consists of 199 pages illustrated throughout with colour and black and white photos detailing the construction and modernisation of Afghanistan such as the building of Kandahar Airport, Women in a Music shop purchasing records, President Eisenhower landing at Kabul being greeted by Zahir Shah. The book is embossed with the gilt Royal Afghan Coat of Arms and is in English and Pashto. Size 28cmx22cm, published by the Ministry of Planning of the Royal Government of Afghanistan.
